Episode 32: The Year I Chose Myself: A Recovering Good Girl's Annual Review | Season 1 Finale
Your rage is sacred information. Mine told me that caretaking at the cost of my health wasn't love—it was self-abandonment. That following someone else's business blueprint at the cost of my integrity wasn't growth—it was conditioning. What is your rage trying to tell you about what needs to exit your life?
Episode 31: Moxie for the New Year: Setting Intentions, Not Resolutions
Stop Fixing Yourself. Start Honoring Who You're Becoming.
Tired of the "New Year, New You" pressure? This episode of Midlife Moxie explores why traditional New Year's resolutions fail women—especially women in midlife—and offers a revolutionary alternative: setting intentions rooted in self-acceptance instead of shame.
Episode 30: Celebrating Your Wins, Acknowledging How Far You've Come
Why is celebrating your wins so hard? Because the good girl conditioning taught you that acknowledging your achievements makes you arrogant, self-centered, or "too much." This episode dismantles that lie and gives you permission to celebrate anyway, from the quiet victories nobody sees to the wins that threaten the system.
Episode 29: The Moxie to Say No, Surviving Family Holidays on Your Terms
The holidays demand your presence, labor, and compliance—wrapped in traditions that feel sacred but are often just control. Discover why saying no to family feels impossible and how to do it anyway, with exact phrases and strategies that work.
Episode 28: When Solitude Stops Being Selfish: Learning to Be Alone in Midlife
Why midlife women need solitude and why it feels terrifying. Stories of concerts alone and car lunches—plus practical ways to claim space without guilt.
Episode 27: Re-evaluating Relationships: Who Still Deserves a Seat at Your Midlife Table?
Who's sitting at your midlife table? And do they still belong there? This episode explores the sacred work of re-evaluating relationships when your tolerance for performance evaporates and protecting your energy becomes non-negotiable.
Episode 26: Difficult Conversations, A Survival Guide for Recovering People-Pleasers
You've spent 40+ years staying silent to keep the peace. But here's the truth: difficult conversations don't damage relationships—avoiding them does. In this episode, learn the practical tools you need to finally speak up, the 5-part structure that works, and how to trust your gut about when to talk and when to walk away. This isn't about perfection—it's about being imperfectly honest. Because your voice matters, and you are worth the difficult conversation.
Episode 25: Showing Up Authentically Transforming Connections
The "difficult woman" you've been so carefully suppressing? She's not the problem. She's the revolution your relationships have been waiting for. For decades, you've been performing. The good wife. The good mother. The good friend. You've swallowed your real opinions, hidden your needs, and managed everyone else's feelings while ignoring your own. But in midlife, something shifts. The cost of that performance becomes unbearable. And a quiet, insistent voice starts to ask: Is this all there is? Is this who I really am? In this episode, we're talking about what happens when you stop performing and start showing up as your authentic self. Because here's the truth: You can't have authentic connections when you're not being authentic. And your second half of life deserves relationships that are as real as you're becoming.
Episode 24: The Good Girl Never Played, The Dangerous Woman Does
When did you stop playing? For midlife women, play became something you think about instead of something you do - something you'll get back to "someday" when everything else is handled. But here's the truth: You didn't lose your playfulness because you grew up. You lost it because you were taught that joy without productivity made you less worthy of love. Learn why reclaiming play is training for freedom, how to overcome the guilt keeping you serious, and practical ways to rediscover joy without permission. Because the good girl never played, but the dangerous woman does.

Episode 21: Beyond the Scale, Reconnecting With and Loving Your Midlife Body
Transform your relationship with your midlife body in this powerful episode exploring the challenges women face during perimenopause and menopause. Nicole Haight shares her personal journey of navigating undiagnosed hormonal changes while offering practical strategies for moving from body criticism to body collaboration. Learn why the scale becomes meaningless in midlife, how to find healthcare providers who truly understand women's hormonal health, and discover sustainable approaches to movement and nutrition that honor your body's natural evolution. This episode debunks harmful aging myths and provides gentle, compassionate guidance for embracing your body as an ally rather than an enemy during life's transitions.
Episode 20: Purpose Isn't One Thing
Tired of searching for your "one true calling"? Nicole dismantles the myth that purpose has to be a singular, lightning-bolt moment. Discover how purpose is actually something quieter, more authentic, and often hiding in plain sight. Learn practical tools for living purposefully right now, without waiting for perfect clarity. Your purpose doesn't have to be grand or change the world—it just needs to be genuinely yours.
Episode 19: Unleashing Your Dormant Creativity, It's Not Just for Artists
Stop saying "I'm not creative" - that's just good girl conditioning talking.
The truth? Your creativity isn't missing - it's been in hiding, waiting for you to create a safe enough container for it to emerge. This isn't about discovering hidden talents or becoming the next great artist. This is about recovering the authentic voice that got silenced when you learned to be good.
Nicole reveals why midlife creativity is archaeological work - digging through layers of "be practical" and "who do you think you are?" to find the creative expression that's been buried under decades of conditioning. From her own journey as a shower singer to stage performer, she exposes the creative blocks that are really good girl conditioning in disguise.
This episode isn't about becoming an artist - it's about becoming dangerous to anything that needs you small, silent, and creatively starved.
Episode 18: Reinvention Roadmap, Small Steps to Big Life Changes
Reinvention isn't about becoming someone new – it's about becoming more of who you've always been underneath all the roles and expectations. By midlife, many women reach a profound 'enough' moment – enough people-pleasing, enough sacrificing their dreams for others' comfort, enough playing small. This creates urgency that younger women rarely feel. It's not desperation; it's clarity. The secret isn't in grand gestures or dramatic life overhauls. It's in what I call the Small Steps Revolution – tiny, consistent actions that honor your authentic self while respecting your nervous system's need for safety.
Episode 17: Dream Beyond the Shoulds, Visioning Your Most Authentic Second Half"
Here's what I discovered about the difference between early life visioning and midlife visioning: When you're young, you vision through contaminated dreams—other people's expectations wearing your face. But midlife? That's when you finally have enough sacred rage about wasted time to vision from your actual soul.
This isn't about having a midlife crisis. This is about having a midlife awakening. The crisis was spending the first half living everyone else's dream. The awakening is realizing you still have time to live your own.
Episode 16: Embracing Imperfection, Why "Good Enough" is the New Perfect
Some of my perfectionism came with looking perfect to the outside world. As a mom, I felt like I had to be in the PTO, volunteering at school and activities for my kids, and have it all together when in fact I was probably coming apart at the seams. The performance was exhausting. I was curating this image of the perfect mom who had everything under control, while privately struggling with the weight of trying to be everything to everyone. The gap between the external image and the internal reality was enormous, but I kept performing because I thought that's what good mothers did. What strikes me about these experiences is how perfectionism operates as both a shield and a prison. The 'perfect mom' performance protected me from judgment while simultaneously preventing anyone from seeing and supporting the real me who might need help.
Episode 15: From Good Girl Inner Critic to Sacred Rebel Inner Guide
Here's what I need you to understand: You are not your thoughts. That critical voice isn't your wisdom – it's often the internalized voice of every person, system, and culture that benefited from your compliance. The transformation from inner critic to Sacred Rebel Inner Guide isn't about perfection – it's about revolution. It's about choosing, moment by moment, to speak to yourself with the same compassion you'd offer a beloved friend who's fighting for her freedom. You get to choose the voice that guides your decisions. That choice changes everything.
Episode 14: The Bounce-Back Factor Cultivating Resilience in the Face of Midlife Storms
The goal isn't to bounce back to who you were before the storm. The goal is to discover who you're becoming through the breaking. In this episode, I redefine resilience for midlife women and share my own perfect storm of losing both parents while exiting a 25-year career. Learn why your storms aren't punishments but invitations to transform, how rage can be sacred information, and why bouncing back is the wrong goal. This isn't about toxic positivity – it's about building authentic resilience that serves your authentic self.
Episode 13 - The Courage Liberation: Why Your Fear Is Sacred Intelligence
Your fear isn't your enemy - it's your courage trying to communicate with you. Everything you've been taught about courage is keeping you trapped in performance mode. Real midlife courage isn't about overriding your nervous system's intelligence. It's about creating enough safety in your body that authentic responses can finally emerge. When your nervous system feels secure, courage becomes automatic instead of forced.
